Spacin’ out at Subspace Coffee House

Subspace Coffee House is a Korean-inspired cafe formerly maintained by two Filipino interior designers who works at Space Encounters. One of the two owners is fond of Kpop who apparently gave a touch of Korean design to the shop. Last year April 2015, the management of the shop was passed to a Japanese.

At the start, Subspace made basic, plain etchings on their coffee foam then eventually figured to try out something new and unique, something that’ll surprise people as their coffees are served. It turned out to be a success. People later liked it and they kept coming for their inviting coffee and attractive interior design.

The coffee house is mostly visited during summer and the month of July onwards by students. Workers around the place also meet there for meetings and gatherings. Every Saturday or Sunday, there are chances they conduct a film showing. Also, the place may be rented for photoshoots or gatherings.

Since we’ve checked in to a hotel in Ortigas, my sister suggested for us to go to Subspace and better not miss it. It was thrilling to go because of their awesome latte art and captivating interior design!

We tried their Salted Caramel Brownie, Sea Salt Caramel Stormie and their cutely named drink, Bae Bae Milkshake.

Salted Caramel Brownie – the chewy salted caramel on top makes it good

Sea Salt Caramel Brownie – My eldest sister was the one who ordered this because she likes salty food and for her the drink was way too salty. So we had to tell the barista to add water and milk to it to lessen the saltiness. It was still good though 🙂

Bae Bae Milkshake – tastes like Ube 👍

As for me, I ordered Cookie Butter Milkshake. It was a good Speculoos-tasting drink. Loved the cookie taste ❤

For the Purple Potato Latte, the taste of coffee was strong and the latte art was brilliant. It was good but nothing too special with the taste itself.IMG_8192

Subspace is a great, cozy and Instagram-worthy place where you can study, hang out or chill. The food is good too and the price is reasonable. Their latte art is surely to be tried and I admire their baristas who do this because they’re doing their best to achieve the design you want for your coffee. I definitely recommend this! 😀
